Always crashing in the same car...

Jasmine, I saw you peeping
As I pushed my foot down to the floor

ragazzo solo, ragazzo sola

A busy couple of days.
  1. yesterday I was interviewed by The Guardian about one of my job's responsibilities. Over the phone - so not very glamorous. It'll be coming out in one of their supplements (I'm deliberately not telling you what or when, sorry) in a week or so.
  2. one of my clients whom I helped with a mini-disaster this morning (on the Richter scale of disasters it was about only a 1) sent a gushing email to the Director of the team. "Her manner and technique in explaining and clarifying are very impressive: can you bottle her approach and dab it on the wrists of others!" My boss had to pass this message onto me...
  3. a software supplier gave the university a free upgrade (couple of thousand pounds worth) as a sign of thanks for all the stuff I've done for them. I'd been asked by S to find out how much the upgrade would cost us, and to pass this info onto my boss. It was with particular delight that I told my boss I'd been given it for free...
  4. my knees are slowly improving. Consistently slowly improving. I can almost sleep with bent legs (i.e. I am not woken up by dull pain when I have bent my legs whilst asleep). Oh God I am so twitching to start exercising again, but have to show restraint. I'll probably just go for a couple of walks from this weekend onwards.
  5. went to lunch yesterday with J (the woman who gave me the Christmas card yesterday).
  6. accepted a lunch date with S (line-manager) and a colleague whom I love from another department, and the new colleague. Tomorrow. Also going for cup of tea and gossip with aforementioned colleague-whom-I-love after work. Oh, and we have a Mince Pies thingo, in the afternoon, amongst the team. Holy holy holy sh*t. More social things in a day than I've had in 2 months. I wonder what state I'll be in tomorrow evening?
Christmas card number 3:
Dear Hermione
I hope that you are pootling along well and things are still improving.
Happy Christmas
With love from D*
* D is my pal whose 30th birthday party I was unable to go to.

Glad the knee is getting better and the social calendar looks good.

Thanks SL, that's really sweet. For info the social calendar is terrifying. I am also seeing my CBT counsellor tomorrow, so hopefully that will help.
